The median arcuate ligament (MALS) is a low inserted arched fibre of the diaphragmatic crura on either side of the aortic hiatus. The low insertion caused compression of the celiac artery resulting in serious and severe clinical symptoms resulting in abdominal pain, bloating, weight loss, nausea, and vomiting. The diagnosis of clinically significant celiac axis compression, made by exclusion , three-dimensional computed tomographic angiography, and Duplex scan.

Results *
Male to female ration was 7:2. Operated Laparoscopically, mean operating time waas 80 mins. There was significant reduction in clinical symptoms. However adujuct therapy was also had supportive role.
Conclusion *
Most patients respond well to this treatment; however certain factors that predict a poorer response to treatment include elderly age, a history of alcohol abuse, and psychiatric illness.
