endoscopic cysto-gastric drainage for the pseudo cyst is a commonly done procedure for the pseudo cyst of the pancreas.
we present a case of young lady, who came to the our opd with vague complaint of pain abdomen, which was mainly in upper abdomen, her abdomen was soft and non tender, she had a recurrent history of pain abdomen in past, on investigating her, a diagnosis of he chcolelithisis and pseudocyst was made,
on the basis of the ct diagnosis we planned for the cystogastric drainage of the patient, on intervention, patient had a severe attack of the peritonitis and it was realised that we had accidentaly punctured a case of hydatoid cyst, hydatoid cyst is common in our counrty of farming popylation, aay how it was a low grade of peritonitis and managed by conservative managment, further mri was also made to confirm the diagnosis.the procedure was abandoned and a drain was made in the collection of the abdomen.
the correct diagnosis of the hydatoid cyst specialy in atypical site is must when there is no cyst in the primary site like liver.
