Introduction *
We describe a novel DOUBLE PURSE STRING PANCREATICOGASTROSTOMY for pancreatic stump reconstruction following WHIPPLE'S PANCREATICODUODONECTOMY
Material & Method *
After removal of specimen , the pancreatic stump is mobilized. A posterior gastrotomy is made and two purse string sutures are placed. The pancreatic stump is dunked in and the purse strings are tied completing the PG
Results *
We have not encountered a single POPF using this technique
Conclusion *
DOUBLE PURSE STRING PANCREATICOGASTROSTOMY is a novel technique of pancreatic stump reconstruction with no POPF
